Job summary

Meldrum House Hotel in Aberdeenshire is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead the bar team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. You’ll be responsible for setup, service and closing of the bar, crafting drinks to our standard and guiding staff to maintain high quality service.

With Whisky, Wines and Spirits knowledge and proven supervisory skills, you’ll inspire the team, deliver friendly, efficient service, and help drive profitability while maintaining superb guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Whisky, Wines and Spirits.
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Customer service oriented with a positive and friendly approach.
• Ability to deliver high standards and use initiative.
• Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks according to recipes.
• Share whisky knowledge with guests.
• Provide excellent table service and make coffees for guests.
• Record drink orders promptly and accurately.
• Supervise and support Bar Team Members and training.
• Maintain cleanliness across bar areas and storage.
• Assist with stock ordering and replenishment.

Your Role:

As a Bar Supervisor, you will contribute to achieving profitability and quality goals. This role is focused on, but not limited to, the hotel bar where you will be responsible for the setup, service and the closedown of the bar department. You will be responsible for the service of drinks, ensuring a smooth delivery of service to all guests. You will have a passion for drinks, and enjoy creating unique, storytelling cocktails which will add to the great memories we hope our guests leave with.

As Bar Supervisor your role will involve:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with our drink recipes.
• Share your Whisky knowledge to our interested guests.
• Prepare coffees for our guests and offer excellent table service.
• Record drink orders promptly and accurately after receipt.
• Supervise and support the Bar Team Members assisting with their training.
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
• Assist in stock ordering, restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
