Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a Bank Support Assistant at Sycamore Court, 33 Robert Hall Street, Leicester. You’ll join a compassionate, community-focused team supporting people with a disability and helping them live independently.

The role offers a robust training package, 33 days’ annual leave pro rata, a contributory pension, online discounts, and flexible hours “as and when required” to cover shifts. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it is preferred.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
  • Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)

Responsibilities

  • Provide a hands-on, high-quality support service
  • Encourage customers to develop daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement
  • Promote social inclusion and help customers build confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed
  • Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices
  • Caring, approachable nature
  • Ability to keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team
  • Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team
  • Positive and accepting approach to customers whatever their needs

Your role
