Job summary

St Margaret’s Hospice Care is seeking a Clinical Coordinator in Taunton. Based in our Central Referral Centre, you will be the first point of contact for callers, understanding needs and directing them to the appropriate team.

The role is primarily office-based at the Taunton site with a bank/casual contract and £13.55 per hour. You will handle calls from healthcare professionals, patients, families and carers, documenting information and passing it to duty clinicians.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy office environment.
• Excellent telephone manner and methodical approach.
• Good understanding of confidentiality and data handling.
• Proficiency with computer systems and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for callers to the hospice.
• Document referrals and pass to duty clinicians.
• Support other teams by liaising with services within the hospice.
