The Community Hospice in London seeks a proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Assessment and Coordination Team and clinical departments. You will handle referrals, correspondence, and telephone enquiries, ensuring data is accurate and confidential.

The Community Hospice provides community, hospital and inpatient specialist palliative and supportive care to people with life limiting illnesses and their families within the London boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley. You should have experience of having worked in an administrative role in a clinical environment or similar. Working alongside an established team of administrators you will provide a high level of support to our clinical teams including the inpatient unit. Please note this is a full time role (35 hours) working over 7 days including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for this post. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential and experience using an Electronic Patient Record system would be ideal. The ability to prioritise your workload while remaining calm and professional is required at all times. Provide administrative support in the Assessment and Coordination Team (ACT) supporting the community team, our inpatient unit and other clinical departments as and when necessary. Make and receive calls, provide appropriate information to the caller and referring to the appropriate person or department as required. Communicate information to internal and external health and social care professionals and to patients / carers.
