Job summary

St Margaret’s Hospice Care is recruiting a Clinical Coordinator to join our Central Referral Centre. You will be the first point of contact for callers, documenting referrals and directing them to the appropriate team as needed.

The role is primarily office-based, with a need to access hospice sites in Taunton or Yeovil. We offer training, a supportive environment, and a strong emphasis on safeguarding and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a busy office environment.
• Excellent telephone manner and be methodical.
• Good understanding of confidentiality.
• Confident with computer/IT skills due to multiple healthcare software programs.
• Flexible and able to prioritise workloads.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for all callers to the hospice's main telephone lines, routing healthcare referrals to duty clinicians.
• Answer calls from patients, families and carers, liaising with services to pass on information for follow up.
• Play a critical role in helping to provide the support that patients and families need.
• We provide a comprehensive training programme and induction to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge.
