Job description

Role: Locum Pharmacist
Banding: Band 8a
Location: Wiltshire
Start Date: 1st November 2024
Duration: Until the 31st of March 2025
Hours: Full-time, 08:30AM – 17:00PM, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £34 – £39 per hour

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacist to join our team in Watford. This role is available immediately and will continue until the end of December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

You will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients. You will ensure the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. You will conduct medication reviews and provide expert advice on drug therapy. You will participate in clinical audits and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications:
    • GPhC Registered.
    • 1 year pre-registration training.
    • Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
    • Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential.
    • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
