Job description

Role: Locum Pharmacist
Banding: Band 6
Location: Watford
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until the 31st of December 2024
Hours: Full-time, 08:45AM – 17:15PM, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £23 – £29 per hour

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacist to join our team in Watford. This role is available immediately and will continue until the end of December 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

You will ensure accurate and complete medication histories for patients through medicines reconciliation. You will provide expert advice and support to patients regarding their medications through counselling. You will offer clinical guidance and support to healthcare professionals by providing advice to doctors and nurses. You will review and verify drug charts and To Take Away (TTA) medications through screening. You will conduct and document clinical interventions to optimize patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education and Qualifications:
    • GPhC Registered.
    • 1 year pre-registration training.
    • Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
    • Previous experience working in an NHS hospital setting is essential.
    • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
