FBC UK operates eight bakeries across the UK and is seeking an Engineering Shift Lead for our Blackpool bakery. You will lead the Shift Engineering Team, ensure preventative maintenance, and drive quick resolution of breakdowns while taking the lead on complex tasks.

You will support production by providing technical information, coordinating with Operations, and ensuring handovers are clear. The role includes 12-hour day/night shifts, with a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Time Served in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• IOSH certification.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems (Shire).
• Detailed knowledge of using MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Manufacturing background (preferably food industry).
• Demonstrable experience of leadership and coordination of a Team.

Responsabilités

• Lead an engineering team to support the operation of the plant, prioritising their work and ensuring the delivery of planned and improvement work.
• Support the development of the engineering team members to achieve goals and targets.
• Ensure that all shift documentation and handovers are up to date and accurate.
• Ensure maintenance records are updated.
• Provide technical detail for handovers and participate in decision making.
• Escalate issues for external support as required.
• Attend interval control meetings representing Engineering.
• Ensure plant safety and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Maintain equipment in line with food safety legislation.
• Undertake training and upskilling programs as directed.
