Job summary

FBC UK is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Shift Technician for our Llantarnam Bakery. You will maintain production equipment, diagnose faults, and perform repairs to keep operations safe and efficient. A hands-on role in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has HNC level (or above) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, knowledge of TPM and 5S, and CMMS experience or training. Join a team focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to HNC level (or above) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of TPM principles, including 5S, with focus on reliability.
• Experience with CMMS is advantageous; training provided for the right candidate.
• Strong numeracy and written communication; flexible and proactive.
• Manufacturing experience, health & safety and hygiene awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to schedule to keep production running.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs and record actions clearly for handover.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and losses.
• Support production, quality and safety teams to meet objectives.
• Record maintenance activities and ensure effective shift handovers.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance and reliability.
