Job summary

FBC UK, a leading UK biscuit producer, is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Technician for the Llantarnam Bakery. You will maintain production equipment, diagnose faults and drive reliability across lines in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

You will work within the Engineering team on planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvement to reduce downtime and waste while upholding safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Qualification to HNC level (Mechanical or Electrical) or above.
• Strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance, fault finding, RCA.
• Experience with TPM principles and 5S in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per schedule in CMMS.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Record all work and communicate follow-up actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve equipment reliability.
• Support production teams to maintain safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to hit OEE and efficiency targets.
