Qualifications

• Strong PHP experience in Symfony or Laravel within business-critical environments.
• Solid understanding of object oriented design and SOLID principles.
• Experience building API-driven backends with unit/functional tests.
• Comfort with a modern JavaScript framework (Vue or React) in a full-stack workflow.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL/relational DBs, Dockerised apps, AWS, and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend features for internal systems (operations, reporting, analytics, B2B portal).
• Collaborate with Head of Development on solution design, architecture and technical direction.
• Write clean, testable PHP (Symfony/Laravel) with strong unit and functional test coverage.
• Contribute to standards, code reviews, CI and deployment practices, including AI tooling.
• Work with business users to turn requirements into pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
• Evolve the platform and infrastructure using PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Vue.js, AWS and Docker.
