Rise Technical Recruitment is helping a small, profitable business in Bristol to hire a Full Stack Software Developer. You will build and evolve core systems powering operations, analytics and the B2B portal, with a strong backend focus in PHP (Symfony/Laravel) and a capable modern JavaScript frontend using Vue.js or React.

You’ll work in a tight-knit team, own features end-to-end and collaborate on design and architecture decisions with the Head of Development; the role offers a hybrid Bristol

Qualifications

• Strong PHP experience in Symfony or Laravel in a business-critical environment.
• Solid understanding of object oriented design and SOLID principles.
• Experience building and testing API-driven back-end systems with unit and functional tests.
• Comfortable with a modern JS framework (Vue or React) as part of a full-stack workflow.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend features across internal systems for operations, reporting and the B2B portal.
• Shape solution design, architecture and technical direction with Head of Development.
• Write clean, testable PHP using Symfony with strong test coverage.
• Contribute to standards, code reviews, CI and deployment practices including AI tooling.
• Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Evolve platform and infrastructure using PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Vue.js, AWS and Docker.
