Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Full Stack Software Developer (PHP & JavaScript) in Bristol, hybrid working across the week with one day in the office. The role focuses on building internal systems that power operations, reporting and a B2B portal, combining solid PHP backend with a modern JavaScript frontend.

You will work with Symfony or Laravel, Vue or React, and modern tech like PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS.

Qualifications

• Excellent PHP experience in modern frameworks (Symfony or Laravel).
• Strong JavaScript skills and modern frontend experience (Vue/React).
• Experience building API-driven backend systems with unit tests.
• Solid understanding of OO design and SOLID principles.
• Ability to own features end-to-end in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend-heavy features for internal systems.
• Collaborate with Head of Development on architecture and direction.
• Write clean, testable PHP with SOLID principles and test coverage.
• Contribute to shared standards, CI and deployment practices, including AI tooling.
• Work with business users to translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Help evolve platform using PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS and Vue.js.
