Job summary

Wickens Engineering Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of heavy-duty storage systems, is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its UK footprint from Worcester with nationwide travel. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with customers, and coordinate with engineering and production to deliver tailored solutions.

The role focuses on winning new business, developing long-term client relationships, and traveling to meet customers, exhibitions and industry events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development or B2B sales.
• Experience in a technical or industrial sector is desirable.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Understand customer requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
• Manage opportunities from initial contact through to order.
• Prepare and present quotations and proposals.
• Visit customers and attend meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
• Develop existing accounts and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Work closely with engineering, estimating and production teams.
• Monitor market and competitor activity and identify new opportunities.
• Achieve agreed sales and margin targets.
