Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer specialising in Landing Gear for an 8-month contract based in Filton (60% on site). You will contribute to ATA32 (Landing Gear) system development and modification activities, supporting design, verification, and safety compliance while coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• At least 5 years experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with Safety processes and ARP 5150, CS 25.1309, Part-21A.3, Part-M.
• Knowledge of Landing Gear, Hydraulic Systems, and associated certification requirements.
• Proven track record leading complex multi-stakeholder projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design development and modifications of braking and steering systems.
• Collaborate with ATA32 engineers, Systems and Structures, Certification Specialists, and procurement.
• Support phase reviews, V&V activities, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Lead development to meet system requirements and introduce new functionality.
