Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer specializing in Landing Gear for an 8-month contract based in Filton, with 60% on site involvement. You will support ATA32 related development and modification activities under safety and quality processes.

You will contribute to design development of braking and steering interfaces, support V&V, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time, cost and quality while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, Safety/Continued Airworthiness experience.
  • Knowledge of ARP 5150, Part-21A.3, Part-M and CS 25.1309.
  • Strong knowledge of Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems.
  • Track record leading complex projects with time, cost and quality.

Responsibilities

Job description

Junior Systems Engineer - Landing Gear

Filton (60% On Site)

8 Month Contract (Possible Extension)

Belcan are currently supporting one of the leaders in the Aviation industry with their search for a Junior Systems Engineer specialising in Landing Gear.

As an Landing Gear System Engineer, you will support the development and modification activities associated with the ATA32 (Landing Gear) systems, subsystems and equipment, in the following activities:

  • Participate in the design development and modifications of the Braking and Steering System;
  • Work with other ATA32 Engineers and signatories along with interfaces such as Systems and
  • Support Commercial ATA32 System activities, including introducing new functionality to
  • Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification (V&V) activities. This is whilst ensuring activity meets Safety and technical needs, following the appropriate processes and procedures, demonstrating strong requirement adherence and V&V.
Experience required:
  • University degree in Engineering;
  • At least 5 years experience in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering, ideally in the field of Safety and Continued Airworthiness engineering;
  • Experience of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ARP 5150 (Safety Assessment of Commercial Airplanes), Part-21A.3, Part-M (Continuing Airworthiness Requirements), CS 25.1309);
  • Good knowledge of Aircraft Systems, in particular, Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems;
  • Experience in the Landing Gear perimeter;
  • Specific knowledge of Particular Risk Analysis (PRA) testing and Avionics associated with Braking and Steering Systems;Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members, with delivery to Time, Cost and Quality;
  • This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success.
