Job summary

PSM Recruitment Ltd are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join a growing branded merchandise business near Sevenoaks. Initially telephone-based, you will build your own customer base from a cold desk and generate leads.

As you establish your desk, expect face-to-face client meetings and field visits. You'll need to be proactive, confident on calls, and capable of converting prospects into long-term accounts, hitting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a telesales, internal sales, business development or similar new-business role is essential.
• Experience within branded merchandise, promotional products, print, marketing or a related industry would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through proactive outbound calling and telesales.
• Build your own customer base from a cold desk.
• Research and identify your own target companies and prospects.
• Generate your own leads and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Use your initiative to identify opportunities and new markets.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and prospects.
• Understand customers' requirements and identify suitable branded merchandise solutions.
• Follow up enquiries, quotations and opportunities effectively.
• Manage and grow your own accounts.
• Work towards agreed sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate records of customer and prospect activity.
• After the initial 3–6 months, attend client meetings and visit customers as required.
• Take ownership of your territory, accounts and sales performance.
