Job summary

Unknown Dealer is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to lead a busy workshop in Stevenage. You will issue work to Technicians, monitor progress and ensure efficient workflow while upholding Health & Safety standards.

Applicants should have prior experience as a Workshop Controller or Service Manager, be IT literate (Kerridge knowledge a plus), hold a valid driving licence, and possess strong numerical/administrative skills to maintain KPI accuracy.

Qualifications

• Ideally previous experience as Workshop Controller or Service Manager.
• Strong understanding of workshop processes and how to get the best from a team.
• Full driving licence; any endorsements must be notified.
• IT literate; Kerridge knowledge is a bonus.
• Strong numerical and administrative skills to ensure KPI accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Issue work to technicians with load considerations and commitments agreed by reception.
• Oversee workshop processes to meet guidelines for retail, internal and warranty procedures.
• Ensure all work is issued efficiently and progressed as required.
• Oversee issuing and progression of Sales Department preparation work.
• Provide progress updates and flag potential concerns to protect customer satisfaction and safety.
