Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor for a leading automotive client in Ipswich. You will be the liaison between the service team and customers, providing expert maintenance advice and coordinating service appointments to ensure a smooth customer journey.

The role offers a basic salary of £27,000 with uncapped £30,000 OTE, a 25‑day holiday entitlement and a Mon‑Fri 8:00–17:30 schedule, with 1-in-2 Saturdays 8:00–13:00.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive service advisory roles or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain vehicle issues and repairs clearly to customers.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling and diary management.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess service needs.
• Schedule appointments and manage the service calendar.
• Explain issues and required repairs to customers clearly.
• Prepare cost estimates and obtain approvals.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely service.
• Keep customers informed of progress and additional work.
• Handle inquiries and resolve service-related issues.
• Maintain customer records and service histories.
• Promote relevant services and products to customers.
