Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting a Service Administrator to act as the critical link between customers and workshop technicians. You will manage bookings, keep clients informed on repair progress, and help vehicles move through the garage efficiently in a busy dealership.

The role offers a basic salary of £28,000 to £32,000 per year with bonus potential and paid overtime, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:30pm, with occasional Saturday mornings and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Service Advisor in automotive environment preferred.
• Strong communication, organisation and customer service.
• Ability to coordinate schedules and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Booking vehicles into the workshop and managing customer appointments.
• Welcoming customers and understanding their requirements.
• Liaising with technicians regarding vehicle inspections and repairs.
• Preparing estimates and explaining recommended work to customers.
• Keeping customers updated on the progress of their vehicle.
• Advising customers on additional work and identifying sales opportunities.
• Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally.
• Ensuring all relevant paperwork and systems are kept accurate and up to date.
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure department operates smoothly.
• Providing excellent customer service from initial booking to vehicle collection.
