Job summary

Catering is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our commercial vehicle workshop in Reading. The role involves handling customer calls, booking service slots, and keeping the workshop's service planners up to date.

You will invoice customers, process payments, and keep clients informed about repair progress. A background in the motor industry and good computer skills are preferred; Kerridge ADP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in the motor trades or workshop environment preferred.
• Comfortable talking to customers and handling inquiries.
• Kerridge ADP experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Must be computer literate and able to use MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and take service bookings to keep the workshop fully booked.
• Maintain and update vehicle service planners.
• Handle invoicing and cash payments.
• Update customers on repair progress and communicate timelines.

Job Title – Automotive Service Advisor
Salary up to £34000 per annum
Hours Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm
Location – Farnborough

We are working with an established commercial vehicle workshop that are looking to add to their existing team with the addition of an Automotive Service Advisor.

Automotive Service Advisor job role:

• The role will include answering telephone calls
• Taking service bookings to ensure the workshop is fully booked
• Maintaining the vehicle service planners
• Invoicing and taking cash payments
• Updating customers on vehicle repair progress.

The successful Automotive Service Advisor will have:

• Work well as a member of a successful team
• Be comfortable talking to customers and have a background in the motor industry.
• A working knowledge of Kerridge ADP would be advantageous but is not crucial.
• Need to be computer literate and be comfortable with MS Office products.

Salary: £32000 – £34000/annum
