Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting Maintenance Engineers to join the engineering team supporting a highly automated distribution network in South Yorkshire. The role involves hands-on maintenance of conveyors, motors, sensors and control panels to keep high‑volume fulfilment centres running smoothly.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform proactive maintenance, and work with engineering teams to minimise downtime in a fast‑paced environment with a Panama shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Automation Engineer.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills; mechanical knowledge beneficial.
• Experience with conveyors, automated systems, or production machinery.
• NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Comfortable working in a Panama shift‑based environment.

Responsibilities

• Reactively and proactively maintain automated warehouse equipment.
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and control panels.
• Support system uptime in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
