Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fully automated warehouse environment in the UK. You will maintain a highly automated materials handling system, support planned and reactive maintenance, and fault-find on PLC-controlled equipment in a fast-paced operation.

The role requires an electrical bias, hands-on troubleshooting, and experience with CMMS, with a rotating 3-week shift pattern (no night shifts) and occasional overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining automated warehouse equipment and conveyors.
• Ability to fault-find on PLC-controlled systems.
• Proficient with CMMS scheduling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of AMHE and automated warehouse equipment in line with manufacturer and company standards.
• Complete planned and scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practice.
• Diagnose and prioritise system faults to minimise downtime and maintain continuous product flow.
• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and automated systems.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled equipment.
• Accurately record all maintenance activity, faults, repairs and work completed.
• Ensure maintenance activities are properly planned and coordinated to minimise disruption to operations.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and comply with all relevant legislation and site procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Ensure appropriate levels of engineering spares are maintained on site.
• Work professionally with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Follow company quality processes and procedures.
• Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring high levels of service delivery at all times.
