Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team at a busy distribution warehouse in Bedford. The role offers the chance to work with advanced automation systems including conveyors, sortation systems, motors, sensors and control panels to keep high-volume fulfilment centres running smoothly.

You'll perform reactive and preventative maintenance, fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and support uptime by minimising downtime in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Automation Engineer.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with conveyors, automated systems, or production machinery.
• NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Comfortable working in a Panama shift-based environment.

We're hiring Maintenance Technician to join the engineering team at a distribution warehouse in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly automated warehouse environment that powers one of the UK's leading retail distribution operations.

You'll be working with advanced material handling and automation systems, including conveyors, sortation systems, motors, sensors, and control panels, ensuring the smooth operation of high-volume fulfilment centres.
Location: Bedford-MK439AA
Salary: £49 000, per annum + OTE + additional benefits
Shift: 5 on 2 off- 8hours (days & nights)

What you'll be doing:

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Automation Engineer
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills (mechanical knowledge beneficial)
• Experience with conveyors, automated systems, or production machinery
• NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification
• Comfortable working in a Panama shift-based environment
