Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking an experienced Resident Site Engineer for a fully automated warehouse in Derbyshire. You will maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment, with emphasis on conveyors, motors, sensors and control systems, while ensuring site safety and reliability.

The role requires hands-on electrical maintenance expertise, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, highly automated environment. Equality in the workplace is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Level 3 engineering qualification is essential.
• Electrically biased engineering background.
• Around 5+ years' relevant engineering experience.
• Strong experience in maintenance, fault-finding and repair.
• Background in automation, logistics, conveyors, FMCG, packaging or similar environments.
• Comfortable working within a highly automated warehouse environment.
• Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 32 metres.
• Able to work a rotating 12-hour day and night shift.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across automated systems.
• Fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance on conveyors and automated handling systems.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, identify root causes and improve site reliability.
