Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting Maintenance Engineers to join the engineering team supporting a highly automated distribution network in South Yorkshire. The role involves hands-on maintenance of conveyors, motors, sensors and control panels to keep high‑volume fulfilment centres running smoothly.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform proactive maintenance, and work with engineering teams to minimise downtime in a fast‑paced environment with a Panama shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Automation Engineer.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills; mechanical knowledge beneficial.
• Experience with conveyors, automated systems, or production machinery.
• NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Comfortable working in a Panama shift‑based environment.

We're currently hiring Maintenance Engineers to join the engineering team supporting the Next Clothing Distribution network in South Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly automated warehouse environment that powers one of the UK's leading retail distribution operations.

You'll be working with advanced material handling and automation systems, including conveyors, sortation systems, motors, sensors, and control panels, ensuring the smooth operation of high‑volume fulfilment centres.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault finding and diagnostics on electrical and mechanical systems
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems, motors, sensors, and control panels

Additional Information

• Location: South Elmsall – WF9, Armthorpe – DN3, and Rotherham – s63
• Salary: £49,018 per year plus OTE
• Shift Pattern: Panama shift pattern, days and nights
