Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprentice in Montrose offers hands‑on experience across servicing, inspections, diagnostics and repairs. You will work with a range of vehicles, supported by mentors, while attending college for one day per week as part of a five‑day week.

You will gain broad automotive skills, problem solving and customer‑facing experience in a busy workshop, with good career progression and company benefits.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents)
• Friendly, team-oriented person with desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician
• Interest in cars and solving problems; capable of manual work
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and familiarity with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, inspections and diagnostics under supervision
• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicles with support from mentors
• Develop practical and theoretical skills through college and on‑the‑job training
