Job summary

Halfords Autocentres is offering an apprentice position for an aspiring Auto Vehicle Technician. The scheme includes 5 days a week with one college day, totaling around 40 hours per week with college day release.

You will learn to diagnose and repair vehicles across a range of makes and models, under guidance from mentors. A strong focus on safety, problem solving, and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents)
• Interest in cars and solving problems
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in a workshop environment

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standard
• Assist with servicing, inspections and repairs in a busy Autocentre
• Develop understanding of engine, chassis and electrical systems
