Job summary

Randstad Education is hiring to support pupils with autism across ages 4–19. You will deliver life-skills focused lessons, support individualised curriculums, and help pupils engage in trips and activities in a calm classroom environment.

The role offers part-time options (3–4 days), a welcome bonus in the first month, and extensive training opportunities to progress toward Lead Teacher/Class Supervisor roles. 44 days holiday and free transport to Guildford station are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade C/4 in English Language & Maths.
• Experience working with children and disabilities (professional, personal or voluntary).
• Comfortable with challenging behaviour and personal/intimate care when required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support pupils with autism following individualised curriculums.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons focused on life skills.
• Support pupil participation in trips and activities.
• Provide behaviourally based support to reduce challenging behaviours.
• Provide personal care and assist with hygiene.
• Monitor progress and ensure appropriate teaching for pupil needs.
• Assist with breaktime duties and playground supervision.
