Job summary

Randstad Education in Guildford is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant for a permanent, full-time role. The position runs term-time only with on-site meals and a supportive team environment that values development and progression.

You will work with children aged 5 to 16 with complex needs, providing 1:1 and small-group support, helping them access the curriculum, and assisting the class teacher to deliver lessons and maintain an organized, caring learning space.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at pass grade (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
• Right to work in the UK is essential.
• Experience in care, childcare, education, or SEN is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting complex SEN learners on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Enabling students to access the curriculum while supporting their pastoral and emotional needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom prep, and maintaining a smooth learning environment.
• Supervising pupils during break times and lunchtimes to promote social interaction.
