Job summary

RSM UK offers a 12-month paid placement in External Audit as part of your sandwich degree, working with current trainees and seasoned audit professionals. You’ll gain practical client experience, on-the-job training, and the potential to join graduate programmes after graduation.

You’ll perform real client work, develop skills in risk-focused reviews, data analysis and stakeholder communication, and travel to client sites as needed. Start date is 14 September 2027.

Qualifications

• UCAS points: 112 across three A levels or 104 across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate.
• Be enrolled on a placement degree.
• Existing permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Strong written and verbal communication to convey complex info clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and calm under pressure.
• Genuine interest in business and commerce with organisation skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Work with diverse clients from owner-managed to large listed groups and not-for-profits.
• Become an integral team member and gradually take on project responsibility.
• Participate in on-the-job training and internal courses for development.
