Job summary

RSM UK is offering a 12-month paid placement in External Audit as part of your sandwich degree, working with audit professionals and gaining practical experience.

You’ll do real client work, benefit from on-the-job training and internal courses, with potential progression onto graduate programmes after your degree.

Your start date will be 14 September 2027. Travel to client sites may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• UCAS points requirements: 112 points across three A levels (or equivalent) or 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Be enrolled on a placement degree.
• An existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Work with a wide variety of clients from owner-managed businesses to large groups and not-for-profits.
• Join our audit team quickly and progress from team member to independent project work.
