Job summary

RSM UK is offering a 12-month paid placement in External Audit as part of your sandwich degree. You will work alongside trainees and experienced audit professionals, gain practical client experience, and access internal training.

You’ll perform risk-focused reviews of financial records and contribute to ensuring accuracy of statements, while developing skills for potential graduate training programmes. Start date: 14 September 2027.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 112 UCAS points across three A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification).
• Be enrolled on a placement degree.
• Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and stay calm under pressure.
• Genuine interest in business and commerce with strong organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes and controls.
• Help ensure the accuracy of financial statements and build stakeholder confidence.
• Join client work from day one, initially as part of a larger team, then take on projects.
• Travel to client sites and other RSM offices as required.
