Job summary

RSM UK invites applications for a 12-month paid placement in External Audit. You will work alongside experienced audit professionals, gaining practical client-facing experience and benefiting from on-the-job training and internal courses.

Maintain strong performance, with potential entry onto graduate training programmes upon degree completion. Start date is 14 September 2027, with a structured development path in a global audit environment.

Qualifications

• UCAS points: 112 across three A levels (or equivalent), or 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Be enrolled on a placement degree.
• Existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK for this role.
• Effective written and verbal communication to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-focused reviews of clients' financial records, processes and controls.
• Gain practical experience through real client work and on-the-job training, with potential progression to graduate schemes.
