Overview

Associate Project Manager (Highways). Permanent. North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire. Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 / year + benefits. An Associate Project Manager is required to join a design consultancy in the North-East. Candidates can be based out of North Yorkshire or West Yorkshire but must be willing to attend the office in North Yorkshire regularly.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of Highways projects using both JCT and NEC contracts, covering both public and private sector Highways infrastructure projects.
  • Assisting with tender applications, agreeing on contract terms, preparing contract documents, attending and leading meetings regularly.
  • Discussing and solving issues such as defective works, contract term ambiguity and other disputes as required.
  • Supporting the finance team with project financial management.
  • Managing and administering NEC contracts.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant qualification(s) in Construction Project Management or Construction Management.
  • Experience working on both public and private highways, infrastructure and/or civil engineering projects with NEC3 or NEC4 forms of contracts.
  • Experience delivering a portfolio of contracts valued at £5m or over.
  • Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills, technical report writing skills, pre- and post- contract knowledge.
  • Full UK driving license with vehicle.
  • Ability to work both as a team and independently under your own initiative.
