Job summary

WSP in Edinburgh seeks an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to lead a portfolio of geotechnical and multidisciplinary projects, developing ground models and delivering high-quality technical solutions. You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and programmes, and build strong client relationships to grow the geotechnical business across disciplines and regions.

Qualifications

• Substantial background in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and ground risk management.
• Experience leading delivery of complex geotechnical projects.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered status with ICE or Geological Society (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and operational leadership across geotechnical and multidisciplinary projects.
• Leading development and assurance of ground models, geotechnical assessments and design deliverables.
• Directing and reviewing advanced geotechnical analysis for foundations, earthworks and slopes.
• Managing programme, budget, resources, quality, risk and contractual requirements.
• Developing trusted client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services.
