Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Associate Director / Technical Director Soil Scientist to lead our growing soils team within Ground & Water. You will shape soil strategies, work with colleagues across Ground & Water, Nature Advisory, and Sustainability Policy to expand capabilities and client base, while guiding project delivery and KPIs.

You will join a collaborative team of environmental and engineering professionals, with a flexible mix of home and office work across the UK,

Qualifications

• Degree in Soil Science or related field with 10+ years experience.
• Experience in consultancy and understanding of relevant policies and guidance.
• Experience leading and growing a team.
• Thorough grounding in H&S procedures (CDM).
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation and agricultural land issues.
• Chartered status with a relevant professional body preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the soil team, growing capabilities and client base with a commercial focus.
• Lead UK-wide project delivery, assist in fee proposals, business development and bid winning.
• Mentor junior staff and share knowledge with other environmental disciplines.
