TheRole

TheAssociateDirectorwillactastheleadProjectManagerforlargestrategicinfrastructureprojects,oftenonbehalfofLocalAuthorityclients,providingdirectionacrossmultipleagencies,stakeholders,andmultidisciplinaryteams.Therolecombinesclientrelationshipmanagementwithhands-onleadershipofcomplexprojectsfromconcepttodelivery,ensuringoutputsaredeliveredinlinewithfunding,governance,andpolicyrequirements.

KeyResponsibilities

• Leadandmanagelarge,multi-agencyinfrastructureprojects,actingastheclient / leadPMonbehalfofpublicsectorbodies
• Developprojectsfromconcepttoimplementation,includingfeasibility,planning,risk,cost,andprogrammemanagement
• Managemulti-disciplinaryteams,includingexternalconsultantsandinternalcouncildepartments
• Prepareandmonitorconsultantbriefs,fees,andprocurementprocessesforprojectdelivery
• DevelopandwritebusinesscasesusingtheHMTreasury5CaseModel
• Adviseonlandacquisition,planningprocesses,andstrategicpositioningofprojectswithgovernmentfunders
• Chairsteeringgroups,workinggroups,andprojectmeetings;prepareconcisenotesandmaintainissue / actionlogs
• Liaisewithpublicsectorofficers,statutorybodies,landowners,funders,andcommunitystakeholders
• Ensureprojectdeliveryalignswithgovernance,funding,andpolicyrequirements

Experience&KnowledgeRequired

Essential :
