Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to lead major infrastructure projects across the UK. You will provide strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice, manage complex projects to time and budget, and develop strong client relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or equivalent with significant experience in major infrastructure planning and consenting projects.
• Proven ability to lead planning and consenting work on complex infrastructure schemes.
• Strong understanding of UK planning policy and consenting regimes.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects, including DCOs.
• Providing strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing complex planning projects to programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Acting as a trusted adviser to clients and developing long-term relationships.
• Leading project teams and collaborating across planning, EIA and technical disciplines.
• Supporting business development: identifying opportunities and preparing proposals.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring colleagues.
• Staying up to date with planning policy changes and consenting regimes.
• Willingness to travel nationally to support projects.
