Job summary

Stantec is recruiting an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to lead major UK projects across NSIPs, DNS in Wales, and Section 36 projects in Scotland. You’ll provide strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice, and develop strong client relationships within a multidisciplinary team.

You will mentor colleagues, drive business growth, stay abreast of policy changes, and travel nationally to support projects.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or equivalent with significant experience in major infrastructure planning.
• Proven track record leading complex planning projects including DCOs.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning and infrastructure consenting landscape.
• Experience mentoring others and developing client relationships.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects including DCOs.
• Provide strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage complex projects to programme, budget and quality.
• Act as trusted adviser to clients and cultivate long-term relationships.
• Lead project teams and collaborate across planning, EIA and technical disciplines.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor colleagues.
• Stay updated on changes to planning policy and regimes.
• Travel nationally to support projects.
