Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to lead planning and consenting for major UK projects, including DCOs.

You'll provide strategic planning and EIA input, manage multi-disciplinary teams and develop long-term client relationships across the UK. The role requires MRTPI or equivalent and a proven track record in major infrastructure projects, with national travel expected.

Qualifications

• MRTPI qualification or equivalent, with significant experience in major infrastructure planning, consenting or energy projects.
• Proven track record leading and managing complex planning projects including DCOs or major regimes.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning and infrastructure consenting landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects, including DCOs.
• Provide strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage complex planning projects, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality.
• Build trusted client relationships and lead project teams across disciplines.
• Support business development and contribute to client presentations.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and stay updated on policy changes.
• Travel nationally to support projects as required.
