Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Director – Infrastructure Planning to spearhead major UK infrastructure projects. You will lead planning and consenting, provide strategic guidance, and mentor teams within a nationwide, multidisciplinary environment.

The role requires MRTPI qualification or equivalent, a track record in major projects, and the ability to navigate DCOs and other regimes. Travel across the UK & Ireland will be expected, with a strong focus on client stewardship and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing complex infrastructure planning projects.
• Strong understanding of DCOs and major infrastructure consenting regimes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client relations.

Responsibilities

• Leading the planning and consenting elements of major infrastructure projects, including DCOs and other relevant regimes.
• Providing strategic planning, consenting and EIA advice throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing complex planning projects to meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Building long-term client relationships and mentoring junior staff.
• Leading project teams and collaborating across planning, EIA and other technical disciplines.
• Supporting business development through proposals and client presentations.
• Keeping up to date with changes to planning policy and regimes.
• Willingness to travel nationally to support projects.
