Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Full Time Qualified Assistant Technical Officer to join the Mile End Pharmacy Dispensary team. You will assist in providing high quality pharmacy service, undertake dispensary activities, and support technical staff. Candidates should have completed a Level 2 pharmacy service apprenticeship or equivalent, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This role is essential for maintaining the dispensary's operations effectively.

Qualifications

  • Completed pharmacy service assistant apprenticeship or equivalent pharmacy services modules at level 2.
  • Work experience in a hospital pharmacy.
  • Mental Health Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the provision of a high quality pharmacy service to patients.
  • Undertake general dispensary and distribution activities including ward based top ups.
  • Assist the technical and professional staff in the day-to-day running of the Department.

Skills

Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work carefully with attention to detail
Ability to work unsupervised in an organised manner

Demonstrates an understanding of good time management skills

Education

Job description

We have an opportunity for a Full Time Qualified Assistant Technical Officer to join the Mile End Pharmacy Dispensary team. The post holder will be an integral part of the team, participating in the full range of dispensing activities. They will also provide top up duties to ensure stock is maintained in the most appropriate way.

You should have great communication and interpersonal skills; be motivated, flexible and adaptable; and be able to work in an ever changing environment.

You will be expected to develop good working relationships with other staff within the pharmacy and the hospital.

All applicants must have completed the pharmacy service assistant apprenticeship or equivalent pharmacy services modules at level 2, covering law & ethics, assembly, supply, and handling stock.
