Job summary

Assistant Site Manager position in Yeovil (BA21 region) supports the Site Manager across the build process. You will supervise employed and subcontract labour, coordinate deliveries, and ensure quality and schedule adherence, while engaging in pre-completion checks with buyers.

Ideal candidates will have residential construction site experience, SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certs, and a strong health and safety mindset with sharp design-reading skills.

Qualifications

• Experience on a new build residential construction site.
• SMSTS /SSSTS and First Aid certified.
• Solid grasp of site Health & Safety.
• Confidence reading and interpreting designs and drawings.
• Sharp attention to detail and a genuine desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting (and deputising for) the Site Manager, supervising employed and subcontract labour
• Coordinating subcontractors and deliveries to keep the build on programme and on quality
• Scheduling work to hit production targets without cutting corners
• Getting involved in pre-completion inspections with purchasers
• Being a reliable link between the build, sales, and customer care teams
