Job summary

Approach Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a permanent role on a Northampton-based new build housing project. You will support the Site Manager, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and trades to keep on time, on budget and to required quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds SMSTS, has hands-on experience across multiple new build housing schemes, and is motivated to progress towards Site Manager. A car allowance and yearly bonus are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager on multiple new build housing projects.
• SMSTS certification is essential.
• Knowledge of traditional build methods is required.
• Ambitious individual aiming to progress to Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage a construction site to ensure on-time delivery, within budget and to quality standards.
• Conduct quality and safety inspections in line with group guidelines.
• Coordinate with external parties such as warranty providers, authorities and utilities to achieve build programme.
• Maintain accurate records: inductions, safety, timesheets, incident reports, quality checklists.
• Ensure timely material calls-off and proper storage per guidelines.

Are you an experienced Assistant Site Manager with a strong background in New Build Housing projects? Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a regional new build housing developer, who are currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The initial project is based in Northampton, with future projects taking place in and around Northamptonshire. As an Assistant Site Manager, you will be responsible for working hand in hand with the Site Manager to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure work is carried out within an agreed timefram, budget and to the quality needs of our clients.

What are we looking for?

• Experience working as an Assistant Site Manager, across multiple new build housing projects.
• SMSTS
• Knowledge of traditional build is ESSENTIAL
• Enthusiastic individual, who would be looking to progress even further into a Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a construction site, to ensure the development is completed on time, to specification and safety regulations, while complying with company and construction build and quality standards
• Ensure all quality and safety inspections are within quality control standards and carried out in accordance with Group guidelines
• Facilitate communication and coordinate activities with external third-parties, such as warranty provider, local authorities and utility companies to ensure achievement of the build programme
• Maintaining accurate records for the development including but not limited to, Staff Inductions, Health, Safety and Environment, timesheets, incident reports, quality control checklists
• Ensure materials are called off in a timely manner and checked and stored in accordance with Group guidelines
