Job summary

Places for People is seeking an Assistant Services Manager to oversee delivery of high-quality supported accommodation for vulnerable families across two Bristol services, Priory Court and Lanercost. Travel between sites is essential and a driving licence is required.

You will lead and develop a team of Support Workers, ensuring tailored support, tenancy sustainment and positive outcomes for families, while working with the Service Manager to meet contractual and safeguarding obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience working within supported housing, homelessness, family support or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and trauma-informed practice.
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising colleagues.
• The ability to build effective relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• A passion for supporting vulnerable families to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as travel between Priory Court and Lanercost, Southmead is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular supervision, coaching and support to your team.
• Support the delivery of person-centred support plans for vulnerable families with a range of support needs.
• Ensure tenancy management is proactive, responsive and trauma-informed.
• Create safe, welcoming and inclusive environments across both schemes.
• Work closely with external partners to help families access the support they need.
• Contribute to service improvements and help drive positive outcomes for customers.
