Job summary

Halfords Garage Services is expanding with new Fusion centres and a focus on delivering a first-class customer experience. As Assistant Manager you will support the Centre Manager, drive profitability, and balance workshop duties with frontline sales and service.

You will lead by example, coach staff, and ensure high standards of health and safety while fostering an inclusive, high-performing team. This role offers progression and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high customer satisfaction through effective management.
• Coaching/training colleagues to improve performance.
• Experience meeting Health and Safety standards and ensuring compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• IT proficiency with ability to learn in-house systems.
• A current valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Centre Manager to drive profitability and improve the customer journey.
• Split time between the workshop alongside technicians and the sales/customer service areas.
• Provide hands-on leadership and training to team members.
