Job summary

Halfords is seeking an Assistant Manager to work with the Centre Manager, combining workshop duties with daily sales and customer service leadership. You will help drive profitability while maintaining a strong focus on the customer journey in a busy environment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical experience or management background, a full driving licence, and the ability to coach and develop colleagues. Five-day week with uncapped bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high levels of customer satisfaction through management and leadership.
• Coaching, training, and developing colleagues on the spot.
• Strong technical knowledge with Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
• Solid workshop operations, diagnostics and vehicle maintenance processes.
• Own tools and ability to work in a busy workshop.
• Health & Safety compliance experience.
• Excellent communication, IT literacy and time management.
• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and leadership to drive profitability with a focus on the customer journey.
• Split time between workshop with technicians and assisting the Centre Manager with daily sales and customer service.
