CaterPeople is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager for a luxury hotel in Ripon. You will support the Restaurant Manager in running the fine dining operation, ensuring guest satisfaction and seamless service.

You will greet guests, manage reservations, organise rotas and lead a team of junior staff. The ideal candidate has previous management experience in fine dining, excellent communication, reliability, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality.

About the Hotel

This country house hotel dates back to the 17th century and stayed within the same family for over 200 years until the early 1990’s, since then this country house has entertained Queen Mary, became a convalescence home for injured soldiers in the Second World War, a adult training centre and then became a private residence until 2015 when it was privately purchased to undergo a multi mullion pound transformation into Yorkshire’s latest luxury Relais & Chateaux hotel.

Working as a Assistant Restaurant Manager

As a Assistant Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager with the operating of the fine dining restaurant, ensuring that customers experience the highest level of service. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting customers, organising table reservations, organising rotas/staffing levels and managing a team of junior staff. The successful person will have previous experience in a management role in a fine dining restaurant, have strong written and oral communication skills for managing business admin and personal matters and most importantly be passionate about delivering the highest level of service to guests.

In addition to your excellent customer service skills, you should be a punctual and reliable team player with strong communication skills, a self driven approach, and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
