Job summary

A regional contracting firm in the North East of England is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to assist with the management of construction projects. The role involves cost planning, budgeting, and supporting subcontract procurement. Candidates should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and ideally experience with a main contractor. Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or working towards a Qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Experience in Assistant Quantity Surveyor role with a main contractor preferred.
  • Exposure to JCT and/or NEC contracts advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the commercial management of multiple construction projects.
  • Support cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Measure works and assist with valuations and payment applications.
  • Assist with subcontract procurement and account administration.
